In the third quarter of 2024, the Tools app category saw varied performance trends across the top five applications in Nigeria, as reported by Sensor Tower. Here's a detailed look at how each app fared in terms of downloads and active user engagement.

Xender - Share Music Transfer, developed by Xender File Sharing Team, showed an interesting pattern in weekly downloads. Starting at 165K in early July, downloads peaked at around 222K in early August, before experiencing a dip to 133K by mid-September. Active users remained fairly stable, fluctuating between 902K and 990K, closing the quarter at approximately 945K.

Google Authenticator from Google LLC witnessed a dramatic increase in weekly downloads, starting from 40K in early July and skyrocketing to nearly 491K in late September. Similarly, active users increased significantly, from 226K at the beginning of the quarter to 796K by the end of September.
